She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode Nine Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs

7. Up - Doing What Titania Tried To Do

Back in episode six of She-Hulk, in the self-contained wedding episode, Titania proved herself a pretty useless villain when she tried to catch She-Hulk out. Her aim was to show the world what a monster Jennifer’s Other Guy was, but instead she just got her arse kicked and her teeth broken.

At the end of episode eight and the beginning of episode nine however, Jen was put up against at the very least a competent villain. HulkKing may have been a pathetically toxic male who didn’t like the idea of a strong and powerful woman, but he was able to do something Titania couldn’t.

After planting Josh in Jen’s life to clone her phone and take her blood, Todd used her private videos to publicly slut shame her and send her into a rage more akin to her cousin than to herself. She ended up in the very prison she had just freed Emil Blonsky from.

The question of the ultimate overarching threat Jen would face to close out the series was answered, as the man who created Intelligencia managed to bring Jen’s life crashing down around her. This was a much better villain than Titania, who didn’t really cause Jen much more than a minor inconvenience.
