She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode Seven Review - 6 Ups & 2 Downs

7. Down - Is It Too Late?

At the end of the sixth episode, with Titania beaten by Jen for the third time, there was finally another tease for the bigger bad of the series. This came in the form of HulkKing, a mysterious player who wants Jen’s blood, and potentially to see her dead.

With the more episodic feel of the show, jumping from one story to the next instead of following one straight narrative throughout the series, there hadn’t really been the need for a big bad. However, with the end of the first season in sight, that feels like it is changing.

There have to be high stakes going into the season finale, and though it seems as though these will come from She-Hulk’s conflict with HulkKing, has the series left it too late? All we have had so far are three very small teases, and with only two episodes left there’s the danger that this coming together could be rushed.

This wouldn’t be the first time the show has struggled with pacing, just look at Titania’s shoe-horned appearance at the end of the first episode. Hopefully, this isn’t what will happen with HulkKing, though on a season-long scale, but with just two episodes left AND a Daredevil appearance, it’s possible there is too much story left to tell.
