5. Up - The MCU's First Real Vampire

We all know that Blade is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, there have been some troubling reports over the last week or so that have led fans to believe the movie is in trouble, but the fact is that the vampire hunter is still set to debut in the franchise next year. Obviously, for a vampire hunter to make sense in the MCU there have to be some vampires for him to actually hunt.

There has been one tease of their existence so far in the franchise, when Mobius subtly confirmed that the TVA had picked up some vampires in the past, but She-Hulk may have just featured its first actual vampire.

As part of Blonsky’s therapy group, Saracen was introduced as a man who thinks he is a vampire. Even in the current MCU landscape, where powers aren’t as weird and rare as they were before, with Elves living among humans on New Asgard and more, it feels like accepting vampires as a reality would still be a step too far.

Saracen, a villain of the Punisher in the comics, apparently had some identity issues, but maybe that is just because no one actually believes him when he says that he is a vampire. Will Saracen return to screens in Blade? Almost certainly not. But at least there may have been a little groundwork laid for the undead in the franchise later on.
