She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode Three Review - 4 Ups & 5 Downs

5. Down - The Fight Choreography

Fight scenes will always be a huge part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether a courtroom comedy like She-Hulk, a horror like the Multiverse of Madness, or even an animated series like What If…?, these are still superhero stories. The action is and will always be important.

At the end of episode three, Jen was attacked by four men (more on this in the Ups section later) but the actual choreography of this fight left a lot to be desired. The problem here is that She-Hulk has to put in absolutely no effort to fight off these idiots, even with their Asgardian weapons.

It’s too easy for her, so the fight comes across as lazy and lethargic, very reminiscent of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in the Netflix series. They were too powerful, and so never had to actually expend any energy. The MCU needs to improve on this moving forward.

The unparalleled rage of Bruce’s Hulk meant that this was never an issue before, but with Jen’s mind fully intact and able to stop from a full-on rampage, there at least needs to be something to add a bit of jeopardy and excitement to her fight scenes. Hopefully, this will improve when Daredevil shows up.

There are less than usual, but there were still some positives to the episode...
