If you've ever seen That Mitchell and Webb Look, the sketch show starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb, the shot when Sherlock is disorientated and storms out of the Carmichaels' house will have made you think of only one thing: Sir Digby Chicken Caesar. As played by Webb, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar is a drunken fantasist who also wears a deerstalker. This filming technique - an extreme close up on the face while the background is out of focus - is always used when Digby is on the run. This is a moment that will pass a lot of people by but any fan of Mitchell and Webb who is watching will be pulled out of the drama and instantly have the Sir Digby theme tune stuck in their heads.
