The Simpsons: 10 Best Episodes From The Past 15 Years

8. Angry Dad: The Movie

Season 22, Episode 478 - February 2011 This episode plays off another one you'll find later in the list, and while it's not quite as good as the original, it's still pretty damn good. Essentially, Angry Dad: The Movie picks up where I Am Furious (Yellow) left off - Bart, years earlier in the show's history (but in present-day Simpsons-time, time doesn't really pass) created what became a web series, Angry Dad. After the site that ran it (BetterThanTV.com) shut down, its properties were picked up by one Ermon Millwood - who now wants to turn Angry Dad into a movie. When it comes time for the animated film to be made, the actor for Angry Dad winds up being none other than Homer himself - and he begins taking credit for the success of the movie. There's a bit of a nostalgia pop with this episode, as I Am Furious (Yellow) was a hugely popular episode when it first aired, but beyond that, there's enough funny material here to make the return of Angry Dad a welcome one. The better lines include Homer's threat to eat Bart's yoghurt (Marge: "You ate his Yoghurt in the car!" Homer: "He didn't know that"), Honer getting angry at just about anything, a Roman Polanski joke, and a lot more. For a fun double-header, watch I Am Furious (Yellow) and Angry Dad: The Movie back-to-back.
