"You know, Smithers, I think I'll donate a million dollars to the local orphanage ... when pigs fly!" The story of Lisa struggling to become a vegetarian and stick to her guns is one of the best episodes to ever focus primarily on lil' Lisa Simpson, but this highlight from the seventh season still features a Mr Burns moment so great that it had to be included in the top three. When Homer hosts a neighborhood barbecue with a large roast pig as the centerpiece, Lisa flips out and drives away on a mower with the pig in tow. Homer tries to rescue his pig, but Lisa pushes it off a slope and somehow, the dead carcass ends up flying into the air. We then cut to Burns standing in his office with Smithers as they look out the window. The pair discuss the likelihood of donating a million dollars to the local orphanage, with Burns claiming that will only happen when pigs fly. The joke could have ended there, showcasing Burns at his darkest, but it gets even better as Homer's roast pig suddenly sails across the sky before them. In his shock, Smithers then asks Burns if he'll now consider donating the million dollars he promised. How does Springfield's richest man respond? "No, I'd still prefer not." The man officially has no soul and that's what makes him so great.
