7. Springfield's Voter Troubles - See Homer Run

See Homer Run has Homer once again dip his toe in the politics of Springfield (after becoming Sanitation Commissioner in Trash Of The Titans and mayor of New Springfield in A Tale Of Two Springfields), this time taking on Mayor Quimby in an election alongside a big chunk of the town. In the end Quimby manages to miraculously maintain power thanks to the electorate being spread so thin, which not only shows the collective idiocy of the town, but ties into some previously set up political issues with the town's governing; in Two Bad Neighbours George Bush commented on how low the voter turnout was in Springfield.
