The Simpsons: 20 Greatest Couch Gags

10. Rocky and Bullwinkle

In one of the more... bizarre of couch gags, the Simpsons once honoured "Rocky and Bullwinkle" with one of their famous intros. Show creator Matt Groening has spoken in the past about "Rocky and Bullwinkle" being an inspiration to him, and so a couch gag based on the classic animation was always on the cards. However, very few would have expected Groening's gag to be based on the short bumper run at the end of each "Bullwinkle" cartoon. Complete with the original theme of lightning and crumbling world, we see an outline of the Simpson family appearing to fall off a cliff, before they happily pop out of a field of daisies at the end.
