The Simpsons: 20 Greatest Couch Gags

6. Game of Thrones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfRkEUkLDPc As well as paying homage to the Flintstones in the past, Matt Groening has used his 'couch gags' on the Simpsons to give a nod to other popular shows, such as Game of Thrones. Back in 2012, The Simpsons paid homage to the HBO fantasy drama with an opening reminiscent of David Benioff's creation, based on George R. R. Martin's popular novels. Featuring the dramatic music of Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi, the intro opens in typical Game of Thrones fashion, with cogs turning and houses and structures growing out of the ground. Quite frankly one of the coolest couch gags we've ever seen.
