The Simpsons: Homer's 10 Most Astounding Acts Of Stupidity

10. 'Hello, My Name Is Mr. Burns...' €“ Blood Feud

The Simpsons Post Office To get the ball rolling we're casting our minds back to the finale of Season 2. Mr. Burns falls ill and finds himself in dire need of a blood transfusion. When the family find out that Bart and Burns share the same blood type, Homer is adamant the Simpsons will be handsomely rewarded for Bart's courageous and life-saving donation. Incidentally, all Mr. Burns sends is a thank you card. Enraged, Homer writes a hate filled letter but is talked down by Marge before sending it. Bart on the other hand has other ideas, and sends it anyway. So many times we encounter Homer at his most hilarious when he's in a blind panic and is overcome with impending doom. In this instance, he dashes to the post office in attempt to intercept the letter before it reaches its destination. His plan of impersonating Mr. Burns goes faultless until around 3 seconds in when the cashier asks for Mr. Burns first name, to which Homer replies "I...don't know." It's the single most awful attempt at ID fraud ever carried out, and it's awesome.
