Sons Of Anarchy 7.7 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Greensleeves"

3. Gemma's Confession

Katey Sagal has been so fantastic this season and deserves an Emmy for her performance, because each time she's onscreen viewers find themselves enraged at every single thing she says and does. The wait for her comeuppance has been a roller coaster ride, with each week feeling liek this will finally be the episode where the truth is revealed, and then we're dragged along for another seven days. Social media reaction to each episode is always overwhelmed with comments begging her to get what's coming to her, and the fact that we're being made to wait like this is brilliant (and incredibly frustrating). As soon as little Abel, full of p*ss and vinegar came bouncing into the house after getting booted from Pre-K for the day, we just knew he was going to overhear Gemma confessing to Thomas, and that still didn't dull the shock of seeing him actually witness his grandmother confessing to murdering his mother. The genius of this is that all this time we've wondered how the truth would finally come to light--if it would be Juice, Unser putting it together, or some other circumstance--when it appears it will be Jax's own son who tells him of Tara's fate. "Out of the mouths of babes."
