Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Most Controversial Moments

8. Tig Murders Donna

For all his many faults, Tig is nothing if not unwaveringly loyal to SAMCRO. The club's Sgt.-At-Arms, portrayed by the fantastic Kim Coates, is a dutiful attack dog that rarely questions the orders he's tasked with carrying out.

One such time he found himself wrestling with a moral dilemma was when Clay handpicked Tig to assassinate fellow Son, Opie. It was believed that Opie had been working with law enforcement so Clay conspired to have him killed. Tig, struggling with his conscience over having to murder one of his own brothers, was only able to do the deed from a distance, choosing to shoot at Opie's truck rather than make the kill up close and personal.

Unfortunately for all parties involved, Opie had switched vehicles with his wife, Donna and she was on the receiving end of Tig's hail of gunfire. This birthed one of the most compelling continued arcs throughout the show's run, with constant tension between Opie - who miraculously remained a member of the club that murdered his wife - and Clay, whom he knew ordered the hit, before the entire thing would eventually come to a violent climax, as all things in Charming do.
