Sons Of Anarchy: 15 Insane Details You Definitely Missed!

11. Katey Sagal Sings Every Season

Katey Sagal has become legendary for her roles in television. Starring as Peggy in Married with Children, Leela in Futurama, and Gemma in Sons of Anarchy, it's hard to think of a time where the Golden Globe-winning actress hasn't dominated our screens.

However, it's easy to forget Sagal is also an accomplished singer. During the 1970s, she sang with Bette Midler in stage shows. After being spotted by a talent agent, she became a backing singer for KISS, Olivia Newton-Jon, Etta James, and Bob Dylan. She released her first CD, Well, in 1994 and her debut album, Room, in 2004.

The show's creator Kurt Sutter, recognised his wife's talent and had her perform a song every season - Son of Preacher Man, Ruby Tuesday, Bird on a Wire, Strange Fruit, To Sir With Love, For a Dancer, and Greensleeves. Although one could accuse Sutter of nepotism by asking his wife to sing throughout the series, there's no question Sagal's vocals perfectly match SOA's themes and tone.
