Sons Of Anarchy 7.1 - 5 Talking Points From The Season Premiere

2. The Killing Of The Pastors

One can't help but assume, since Kurt Sutter went out of his way to have his characters point out what a powerful and wealthy congregation they belonged to, that the murder of the clergymen at the hands of the Sons will have serious ramifications. Long able to slide by on an uneasy, yet peaceful coexistent with the Charming populace, the tide has shifted considerably against the club since last season, and the school shooting with a SAMCRO-supplied KG-9 was the icing on the cake that brought District Attorney Patterson into the mix. If they're tied to the murder of the pastors--a case of mistaken identity--it will likely create even more blowback. With public sentiment coming down strongly against them and what we can assume will be additional political pressure from the powerful church, it's just even more tension on the vice grip squeezing the literal life out of the Sons.
