Sons Of Anarchy Series Finale - 10 Talking Points From Papa's Goods

8. Jax Confesses To Nero & Says Goodbye To His Family

This was one of the most emotional scenes of the entire episode. Jax and Nero have developed such a deep bond during their time together, with Nero being the voice of reason and moral compass that Teller had been sorely lacking since his wife was murdered. There€™s a friendship, a respect and a paternal relationship there that has been a highlight of the series. Nero knew the collision that was coming between Jax and Gemma, and even though he tried to stop it, he realised it was inevitable, which is why the revelation that Jax had killed his mother didn€™t visibly shake him as much as it probably should€™ve. When Jax told to Nero that he wanted Wendy and the boys far away from Charming, that it was his desire for them to grow up hating him so they wouldn€™t become him, it was some of the most powerful dialogue in the show€™s history. His speech about needing his kids to hate him was intense, and the acting in this scene was absolutely stellar. The tearful goodbye between Jax, Wendy and the boys was heart-wrenching, especially because only one of them knew it was for the last time.
