South Park: 10 Most Controversial Moments

5. 'Ginger Kids' Inspires Real-Life Violence

Look, Cartman may be a hilarious character and certainly a fan favorite, but nobody should ever, ever behave like he does. Adults may understand this, but unfortunately it seems some younger, more impressionable viewers did not.

Following the 'Ginger Kids' episode in which Cartman discriminates against red heads, then leads a rebellion with them, there was a reported incident at Wingfield Academy in Yorkshire where six red-headed students were assaulted in a fashion similar to an idea featured in the episode.

In response, parents of the hurt children launched a Facebook group where they posted pictures of each child's injury. South Park may receive its fair share of criticism, but rarely does it ever motivate action (especially any violent kind) in its viewers. No incident like this has occurred since then, so hopefully this will serve strictly as a cautionary tale rather than a bad omen.
