South Park: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best
5. Kyle Broflowski
We now step into the territory of the traditional four leading men (or boys) of the South Park series, and Kyle sadly falls to the lower echelon. Kyle has an incredibly important role in the show, which makes up for his somewhat undefined characteristics. He is one of the main plot drivers and traditionally the one who finds meaning in the children's adventures.
"You know what? I've learned something today". It is easy to get frustrated whenever these words are spoken, followed by a monologue about the point of the episode. Still, this is a big part of what makes the show work, as the moral learnings of the children give the more nonsensical and abrasive humour a purpose for existing, and Kyle is the embodiment of this.
He is indeed shown to have plenty of flaws and is prone to bouts of aggression, cynicism and immorality. Still, he exists as one of the moral compasses of the show, and thankfully has the comedy chops to pull off such a role without being too boring.
Ultimately, he is integral, but it's no surprise that Trey Parker and Matt Stone thought about killing him off because of his similarities to Stan.
