7. Who Is Really In Charge Of The Squid Game?
After all the shocking twists and turns that made up the frequently heart-stopping series of events leading into the series' final episode, fans were dealt one final unexpected blow in the form of "Old Man" Oh Il-nam being revealed as one of the OG creators of the brutal Squid Game.
Yep, not only was he not actually killed following on from his dramatic marbles loss, but it became clear that he was actually a VIP in on the act all along, taking part in the games simply because he wanted to have a bit of fun before he died of a brain tumor.
Yet, despite this astounding revelation, that still didn't answer exactly who else made up the gang of rich folk who decided to set up the life-or-death gamble. We're introduced to a number of VIP's who take joy in gambling on the fates of those involved, seeing only an unnamed white VIP unmasked during the show. But Il-nam still doesn't choose to go into that much detail about his co-creators on his deathbed when revealing his part in the drama to Gi-hun.
