Squid Game: What Would An English Remake Look Like?

Marbles are incredibly versatile, that's what makes them the perfect tool for the one-on-one challenge in episode six of Squid Game. In this episode, paired up players get to choose whatever game(s) they would like to play with their marbles, and then play until one person has won all the other's marbles.

As we see, people choose a range of games to play and even make up their own - and this could be done similarly with dominoes. There are a variety of simple games you can play with dominoes, playing in rounds to determine who wins. Should you not know any domino games either, they are simple enough playing pieces to be able to devise something new with.

Similarly players could be given a deck of cards to play with, once again determining winners per round until one person had a set amount of wins. The problem with cards is that there's quite a few of them and it could be easy to get overwhelmed or lose them.

It would differ from the marble games in that you wouldn't always be able to hand over your card or domino when losing, but with the guards watching each pair as they play their games I doubt there would be any problem keeping track of who has won.
