Star Trek: 10 Best Crossover Episodes

6. Timeless (Star Trek: Voyager)

Timeless was one of the best episodes of Voyager €“ certainly the best episode to feature Harry Kim in a lead role. The status as a crossover episode is a little overlooked as it is more of an alternative future story that just happens to feature a cameo from a TNG character. It was the hundredth episode of Voyager and so they did something a little special. The episode has great effects, particular the scene where Voyager crashes into an ice planet. The cameo is a certain Geordi La Forge, who in this particular future is Captain of the USS Challenger. Because Kim and Chakotay are outlaws, having stolen both the Delta Flyer and Borg technology, La Forge is trying to stop them from altering the timeline. This episode itself is a crossover between two classic staples of Star Trek €“ alternative futures and crossover episodes. Timeless is one of the really great episodes of Voyager, although the crossover element of it was pretty much a cameo €“ but it was really nice to see La Forge again and entirely unexpected. It also took Chakotay and Kim and made them interesting €“ two characters that were normally quite dull, but in Timeless took on far better roles.
