Star Trek: 10 Characters With The Most Appearances

Curveball entry here!

The late Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was a cornerstone of the Star Trek franchise right back to The Cage. Indeed, two of her classic characters (Nurse Chapel and Number One) are now staples of the highly-praised Strange New Worlds.

As Lwaxana Troi, she has vexed the spirits of both Jean-Luc Picard and Constable Odo on repeated occasions. On top of that she has tried the patience of her daughter, Deanna to its limit but yet even combined those appearances don't match this entry. Majel's most prolific role in Star Trek is that of the Computer Voice in TOS, TNG, and its films, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise as well as the Kelvin Universe 2009 movie.

Although the latest eras of shows have chosen different voice actors for their computers, Majel remains the one to have voiced the most instances and has even had her vocals recorded for future use.

Whether announcing the activation of the holodeck or providing a key piece of information to the plot or the Enterprise crew, the vocals of Star Trek's First Lady put her into the second spot on this list, far ahead of most characters but still way behind one other...

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
