Star Trek: 10 MORE Characters Permanently Displaced In Time

Vice-Admiral Janeway underwent the ultimate sacrifice to get her crew home earlier than her own timeline had allowed. Where she came from, Voyager got home in 2394, though it suffered several more casualties along the way - including Seven Of Nine. This haunted the Admiral, affecting her enough to formulate her final plan.

She designed a plan using stolen Klingon technology to travel back in time - with the knowledge and advancements that would make Voyager both far stronger and give it the ability to get home almost instantly.

Her plan didn't exactly go without a hitch, as she hadn't truly counted on the stubbornness of a certain younger captain - namely, Kathryn Janeway. The two butted heads, unable, initially, to see eye to eye.

They ultimately managed to come to a compromise, though both the Admiral's original plan and the pair's new plan, were terminal for the older officer. In this new plot, not only did Voyager manage to get home sixteen years sooner than it should have, but they were able to deal a crippling blow to the Borg - hammering in one of the final nails in their cybernetic coffin.
