7. She Was Kind Of Unfinished
The effort to create the USS Defiant was still not complete by the time production began on her maiden voyage, season three's "The Search, Part I". In that episode, the graphics on the Defiant set displayed an earlier, unfinished version of the Defiant in master systems displays and other consoles.
While the graphics would be updated over the course of the season, these incorrect orthographic views of the Defiant would crop up occasionally in the sets throughout the series, a reminder of the many forms the Defiant took before she made it to the screen.
