Star Trek: 10 Secrets Of The USS Stargazer
1. See You In The Funny Pages
With season three of Star Trek: Picard yet to air at the time of this writing, it's unclear if the USS Stargazer will fly on screen again. The ship's voyages do, however, continue on the printed (errr digital) pages of IDW's comics series, Star Trek: Stargazer. In that series, the Stargazer receives a new captain following the departure of Acting Captain Seven of Nine, Andorian officer Mekara, who invites Jean-Luc Picard aboard the new USS Stargazer to relive his days on the old USS Stargazer.
As for the filmed adventures of the Stargazer, we'll have to wait and see, but we do know the ship will be joining its predecessors in a time-honored Star Trek tradition. Following appearances in two episodes of Star Trek: Picard season two, the interior sets of the USS Stargazer were redressed to serve as an entirely different Starfleet vessel: The USS Titan-A for Star Trek: Picard's third and final season.
With so much history going into the ship's inception and so many stalwarts of the Star Trek franchise returning to help bring her to life, it's fitting that the Sagan-class USS Stargazer would follow the lead of so many Star Trek vessels before it and become yet another recycled starship.
If only there was a listicle about that too...
