What happens when a Klingon Warrior grows too old to be any use anymore? This is the issue that is explored in this seventh-season episode, featuring the return of John Colicos as the Klingon Dahar Master, Kor. He has outlived both Kang and Koloth, though in this war with the Dominion he is out of place. Added to this, his memory is beginning to fail him, though he is desperately trying to hide that.

He comes to Worf, seeking help in finding an assignment. Initially, General Martok won't hear of it. Kor had blacklisted Martok from entering the military as a young man, something the General never forgot or forgave. He is less than pleased when Worf assigns Kor to their ship without consulting him and even less pleased when Kor's failing memory results in a dangerous series of errors during an attack.

Shamed, the old man feels like there is no way to redeem himself. Enter the Jem'hadar, sending ten attack ships after the Klingon vessels. Kor finally achieves his blaze of glory, taking a single cloaked vessel back to stall them, giving the rest time to escape. For a Klingon, he achieved his honourable death, going out fighting.
