Star Trek Discovery: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Far From Home'

10. Is Cellular Regeneration The Vaccine?

Star Trek Discovery Saru

After Stamets was impaled by shrapnel in last season's "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2", Doctor Culber orders his man into the cellular regeneration chamber.

Similar-looking medical equipment, the antiproton chamber, appeared aboard the USS Shenzhou in "The Vulcan Hello", but this is the first time we've seen this tech in Discovery's sickbay. The regeneration chamber is actually situated in a room located directly across the corridor from the main sickbay area. This room previously appeared in "The Wolf Inside" where it seemed to just be a private hospital room, but it's possible the regeneration chamber was in there the whole time and we just didn't see it.

A similar "cellular regeneration and entertainment chamber" featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's "In the Cards", which was used by Doctor Elias Giger to teach cells "new mitochondrial tricks".
