Star Trek Enterprise Cast: Where Are They Now?

13. Steven Culp

Major Hayes Star Trek
CBS

Steven Culp took something of a demotion when he was sent back in time to play Major Hayes in Enterprise's third season. He had previously been the first officer of the Enterprise-E for a very, very short time, though to be fair, Commander Martin Madden's scenes were all sent to the deleted pile.

Such is life.

Thankfully, he had plenty of screen time as the leader of the MAKO soldiers that came aboard to protect the crew on their search for the Xindi. While unfortunately Major Hayes didn't make it home again, Culp has continued acting in the years that have passed.

On leaving Enterprise, he moved almost immediately to The West Wing, where he played Speaker of the House Jeff Haffley. He also appeared on ER (who hasn't?) and went on to what is probably his most well known role, that of Dr. Rex Van Der Kamp in Desperate Housewives.

He has appeared in many other roles along the way, including an appearance on Boston Legal. His most notable film role to date had already occured before Enterprise, in the film Thirteen Days, where he played Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
