When Mariner and Boimler locate the hijacked shuttlecraft Yosemite, its windscreen is littered with parking tickets adorned with the iconic seal of the United Federation of Planets.

Could be a coincidence, but this is actually a lot like the ninth season episode of The Simpsons, "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson", in which Barney Gumble steals Homer's car in a drunken haze, only for it to turn up in New York City covered in parking tickets.
