Another nice little detail are the two Cerritos officers wearing VISORS aka Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement(s) – one who comes aboard with Tendi early in the episode, another seen later on the Galardonian planet.

These VISORs are nearly identical to the one worn by Geordi LaForge throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Generations, which was often treated as an uncommon prosthesis. In fact, Geordi was the only character in the franchise seen wearing a VISOR until last year's Star Trek: Discovery season two premiere, "Brother", which featured a transporter operating wearing a primitive VISOR aboard the Discovery.

At this point in the Star Trek timeline, Geordi had received his new ocular implants (as of Star Trek: First Contact), but their appearance here seems to indicate VISOR technology is maybe a little more common by 2380.
