Star Trek Picard: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Episode 2 'Maps And Legends'
1. Picard Is (Finally) Going To Space
Picard's second episode ends with Jean-Luc still firmly on the ground, though between his closing interaction with Raffi and a teaser for the third episode (pictured above), it's clear that fans won't have much longer to wait for Picard to get into space.
Admittedly we're perhaps being a little impatient here, because if we look at Picard as a long-form film, we're only 20% of the way done.
If this were a two-hour movie, we'd still be firmly in the first act, and if episode three gets Jean-Luc in the air with his crew as it seems to, then that should give fans seven episodes of new-age Picard space-faring shenanigans.
While it would've been a misstep to rush Picard back into helming a ship, fans are also understandably antsy to get to the feature attraction, and by bringing Raffi into the fold, it seems likely that the show is about to slam into high-gear.
