I did previously say I'd be annoyed if it turned out that the secret to the Mars Synth Attack turned out to just be the crackpot theory that Raffi blurted out two episodes in, but, well, here we are, and I didn't hate it. I didn't love it either, mind, but the positives definitely outweighed the negatives.

Possibly because it felt like it was just one piece of a bigger puzzle, possibly because it went far further than just some political manoeuvre, possibly because loads of Romulans just blew their own brains out upon learning the truth. If they're willing to go that far it seems a bit rich of me to call it "underwhelming" doesn't it?
