Star Trek Picard: 8 Things Everyone Missed In The Final Trailer

8. Ten Forward

Picard Ten Forward
CBS

We start with the most obvious observation, but one that's incredibly easy to miss if your eye is drawn to either Picard himself or, y'know, the exploding planet behind him. One of our establishing shots, where Jean-Luc talks about being "haunted by his past" takes place in Ten Forward, the famous relaxation spot on deck 10 of the Enterprise D.

This is almost certainly a flashback of sorts, given the 90s TV-style backboards on display, and the brief inclusion of what looks to be Earl Grey Tea (I can't tell if it's hot or not) tells us this is designed to stir up every possible bit of nostalgia from The Next Generation. Mentally add this to the Captain Picard Day banner we've seen previously, and it feels like we're going to spend a lot of time on Jean-Luc's old ship.

As for what planet we're seeing destroyed in the shot, well it's not unlike Mars, and we're set to get the curiously-titled Children of Mars short episode as a prequel to the Picard series. Put 2 and 2 together there, and there's a fairly grim implication. Poor Geordi
