Fundamentally, Soji's story is a horrifying mirror image of Data's. He was an android who sought desperately to learn more about his humanity, whereas she is a "human" who wants nothing more than for these revelations about being an android to not be true. In a cruel twist, she has everything her father ever aspired to attain but would give everything for it not to be true.

The small clues about the call logs with her mother, the carbon dating of all her possessions, and there being no record of her being on the ship that allegedly brought her to the artifact. It's just enough that the audience can piece the puzzle together, but still not enough for the mystery to feel like it's over. There's still more to
