Somewhere down the line, Narek will atone for his sins against a woman he's clearly fallen madly in love for, and it'll likely be his sister who bears the brunt of this. It would be an unspectacular trope to have him simply lay down his life to save Soji, but if handled right it might not be as bad as it sounds. Either way, the inevitable showdown between these two is going to be explosive.
