Star Trek: Picard: Analyzing All The Ships From Season One
7. Romulan Bird-of-Prey (24th Century)
First seen in orbit around the Artifact in "Absolute Candor", this larger counterpart to the Romulan warbird seen in "Remembrance" is likely a 24th century version of the iconic Romulan Bird-of-Prey from TOS' "Balance of Terror" (more on that later).
Characterized by its silver (rather than traditional Romulan green) color, large wings, and bird-like feathers painted beneath the hull, the 24th century Romulan Bird-of-Prey is used to evacuate Romulans from the Artifact when Seven of Nine goes all Borg Queen in "Broken Pieces" and comprises the bulk of Commodore Oh's attack fleet in "Et In Arcadia Ego, Parts 1 and 2".
We know almost nothing about this ship from its appearances in Star Trek: Picard, but it may be the successor to the Valdore-type warbird that appeared in Star Trek Nemesis which also featured a similar flat profile and long wingspan.
