Dahj previously mentioned in "Remembrance" that her "father" bred hybrid orchids and Soji's "memory" in "The Impossible Box" featured orchids in her childhood home.

The giant space orchids in this episode actually look a lot like the strange, flower-like alien that appears in Star Trek: Discovery's opening title, but that's just a coincidence like all the other Star Trek: Discovery connections we thought were important, right?
