Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Stardust City Rag'

In the Freecloud Medical Distrct, Raffi reconnects with her estranged son Gabriel and we get a sense of just what she lost after Picard left her high and not so dry.

Gabriel resents his mom following him to Freecloud because she abandoned her family to pursue her theory that the Federation and the Romulans were involved in the Synth attack. As Gabriel's wife Pel is Romulan herself, that can't not be an awkward family dynamic.

Pel also happens to be pregnant with Raffi's grandchild. A computerized voice in Freecloud Reproductive Services can be heard saying "your baby is our baby" so this may be a clinic where interspecies couples go to when they want to get pregnant.

This kind of coupling has often been depicted as difficult: Dax and Worf were trying to have a baby with the help of Doctor Bashir in DS9's "Tears of the Prophets" and the first Human/Vulcan hybrid was shown in Enterprise's "Demons" and "Terra Prime".
