In the faux-prisoner exchange, faux-French Picard offers up Seven as a different type of X-B: The Borg assimilated Seven at a young age so she has more functioning implants left in her body. Vup even itemizes Seven's implants: Ear, eyes, neck, chest, spine, kidneys, hips, vaaaaarious bones.

The negotiations go bad because Seven hasn't been totally honest with everyone (so much for absolute candor). She once had a close relationship with Bjayzl and opened up with her about Icheb, only to have Bjayzl send additional goons to carve him up.

Bjayzl refers to Seven, not by her Borg name Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01, but as Annika, her birth name. As revealed in Star Trek: Voyager's "The Gift", Seven was born Annika Hansen but assimilated as a child so young (see "The Raven", "Dark Frontier"), she never identified with that past during her time aboard Voyager.

Seven previously had a close relationship with a Borg drone named Axum in the Voyager episodes "Unimatrix Zero" and "Unimatrix Zero, Part II" and developed feelings for Commander Chakotay in "Human Error" and "Endgame" for some reason. This is the first time we've Seven with a woman and, even if she is a murdering crime boss, good for her.
