Back on the La Sirena, Seven of Nine is on her feet and functional. Like Icheb and Maddox, Seven has changed, but she's still played by Jeri Ryan who gives the character a lot more swagger than she exhibited in her nascent years aboard the USS Voyager.

Seven's a Fenris Ranger now and drinks bourbon straight up. The Rangers were mentioned last week in "Absolute Candor" as the group responsible for establishing the protective barrier around Vashti. Despite Picard's objections to the Rangers' tactics, he and Seven have an instant connection as both former Borg drones.

Raffi and Rios discuss Seven's origins. She's famous not for her catsuit-clad adventures aboard the USS Voyager but for being "the ex-Borg Fenris Ranger from the Delta Quadrant". The Delta Quadrant, of course, is the far flung part of the galaxy the Voyager was lost in for seven seasons and home to the Borg Collective.

Seven's Borg implants have a dull gray appearance to them now. They ranged from rusty to highly polished silver over the course of her four years aboard Voyager.
