Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Stardust City Rag'

The La Sirena arrives at Freecloud and the gang is immediately assaulted by targeted ads. This being the 24th century, these ads are holographic and REALLY targeted to each character.

One of these targeted ads, The Red Bolian, appears in front of Rios and gives us our first details about his ship, the La Sirena. According to the Red Bolian, the La Sirena is a Kaplan F17 Speed Freighter.

The Red Bolian itself is a reference to the Bolian species that first appeared in TNG's "Conspiracy", directed by Cliff Bole. From the planet Bolarus IX, Bolians such as Mr. Mot, the Enterprise-D's barber (more on him later), were always bald, blue skinned, and were often seen walking around the Promenade on Deep Space Nine.

The USS Voyager also had a couple of Bolian crew members, one of whom, Mr. Chell appeared in two episodes ("Learning Curve" and "Repression"), but was referenced several times throughout Star Trek: Voyager's run.
