Star Trek: Top 10 Riker Moments

5. I Love My Job! - Strange Energies

Star Trek Lower Decks Strange Energies Riker Titan

It is a varied franchise that can see a character switch mediums and still retain their charm. William T. Riker was promoted to Captain - finally accepting it - in Star Trek: Nemesis. The USS Titan was assigned to him and the next chapter for the Riker-Trois began.

By the time Bradward Boimler takes up a position on the Titan in No Small Parts, Riker has truly settled into his position. He's affable, yet commanding, and is never far from a jazz reference or two - just to liven things up.

By the end of Lower Decks' second season premiere, Riker is just about giddy with excitement at the idea of going through a spatial anomaly. His smile is broad, his crew begins to warp, and as Boimler's screams rip through the bridge, he proclaims his utter love for his job. It may not be safe on a Federation starship but it will never be dull with Riker in command.
