Star Trek: Top 10 Unexpected Cameos

7. Abdullah II - King of Jordan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmut6FJ1d4M So, let's pretend you're next in line for the throne of your own small country. You have plenty of money, you probably have all the women you could want, you can travel anywhere and do anything you may desire. What is the one thing you want more than anything else? If you're the crown prince of Jordan, your fondest wish is obviously to appear in Star Trek. King Abdullah II, then Prince Abdullah, swung a role on Star Trek: Voyager back in 1995. Abdullah II was educated in England and quickly became a Star Trek fan. While he was still the prince of Jordan, Abdullah played a science division officer in the Investigations episode of Voyager. But before you become too insanely jealous, remember that in spite of the incredible means he has to get whatever he wants, Abdullah still couldn't get a speaking part. Heck, even I once spoke on television as a child while sitting on Santa's lap in Okinawa. Sorry, king. Okay, I've had my fun. Now it's time to tell the real story. Abdullah is a huge Star Trek fan who was simply visiting the set of Voyager on that fateful day in 1995. He says he got into costume and makeup in order to take a few photos with the stars. Before he knew it, he was thrust into a scene. Abdullah continues to be a big fan of Star Trek and is taking his fandom to a level none of us could have imagined. Now that he's ascended the throne, Abdullah is planning to open a Star Trek theme park in Jordan. Funding for the park was acquired in 2011 and, as far as I can determine, the park is due to open sometime this decade.
