Star Trek Voyager Cast: Where Are They Now?

9. Ethan Phillips

Neelix Talaxian
CBS

Everyone's favourite chef and morale officer, it's safe to say that Neelix was a bit of an acquired taste in the beginning, but evolved into one of the more beloved characters over Voyager's run. Though he may not have had many of the meatier story-lines, he became an essential player as the show continued.

Ethan Phillips had plenty of experience in front of the camera before joining the show. He had previously appeared in the Next Generation as a Ferengi and would return for Enterprise as well. He made an uncredited cameo appearance in Star Trek: First Contact as the holographic maitre d', appearing with Robert Picardo.

Since the show finished, he has continued to appear on television, including JAG, Providence, Touched by an Angel and Boston Legal. In Boston Legal, he played the father of a boy accused of killing Armin Shimerman's wife, with both William Shatner and Rene Auberjonois in the series as well.

He has also stuck with Sci-Fi along the way as well. He has continued to work with Tim Russ on various projects, including Star Trek: Of Gods and Men. He has also done voice acting as well, appearing in several Nickelodeon movies.

Neelix may not be at the top of many peoples' lists of characters, but he played an integral part of the show's journey and became something of the warm heart among the crew.
