Star Trek Voyager Cast: Where Are They Now?

10. Jennifer Lien

Kes Voyager
Paramount

Kes was one of the shakier additions to Voyager, never really seeming to land in her right niche. While the writers tried to give her a compelling storyline, they somewhat hampered that by giving her a short life span, effectively stonewalling how much they could do with her.

The character was hard to really identify with and, at the end of Voyager's third season, the producers decided to fire Jennifer Lien. This actually saved Garrett Wang, as the producers had to remove one of the two characters to make space for Seven of Nine.

Immediately after leaving the show, she started voice acting in Men in Black: The Series, also contributing to The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Her peak would come in 1998, when she appeared alongside Avery Brook's in the acclaimed American History X.

Unfortunately, Lien has been in the spotlight for negative reasons in the last decade. She has been arrested eight times for incidents ranging from driving under the influence to aggravated and domestic assault, along with indecent exposure and resisting arrest.

She has retired from acting and public appearances and has not attended a Star Trek convention in quite some time.
