Star Wars: 10 Classic Characters Returning To TV
2. Darth Maul
Despite a recent scandal involving Darth Maul actor Ray Park thanks to some suspect Instagram posts, there are still plans in place to continue this iconic villain's story on screen.
His death was depicted in Star Wars Rebels, but there are still gaps in the character's history, particularly after his shocking cameo appearance at the end of Solo: A Star Wars Story.
That cliffhanger needs to be addressed in some way, and Maul voice actor Sam Witwer is anxious to reprise the role (possibly even playing him now Park's possibly done with the character). Whether it's further exploring what he was up to between the events of The Clone Wars and Solo or Solo and Rebels, those are periods well worth delving into.
Who knows, perhaps the Obi-Wan Kenobi series could even retell that battle between the Jedi Master and Maul on Tatooine? That somewhat underwhelmed in animated form, and if we're really going to get into true fantasy scenarios, then a team-up between Darth Vader and Darth Maul would truly be the stuff dreams are made of.
