Star Wars: 10 Things That Need To Happen In Andor
4. A Back-Stabbing Reality Comes Into Focus
One thing that caught many a Star Wars fan's eye out of the gates when it pertained to the announcement of this incoming Rogue One prequel was the news of Andor being framed as a "rousing spy thriller" in its official synopsis that was "filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire."
And as anyone who has taken in a slice of James Bond or Jason Bourne action in the past will be quick to note, the practice of spying on the enemy tends to come equipped with its fair share of back-stabbing and double-crossing... on both sides.
As already noted, Rogue One refused to shy away from the idea of characters operating in morally grey areas, so you can bet the even more unstable and dangerous period being brought to life in Andor will boast everything from apparent Rebel goodies pulling a fast one on our heroes, to one-time Empire forces turning their backs on The Emperor and his nefarious ways before season one has reached its end.
And expect to see more undercover agents like Obi-Wan Kenobi's Tala Durith courageously going behind enemy lines along with a few unexpected plunges of the knife - looking at you Stellan SkarsgÄrd's Luthen - in the coming 12-episode run, too.
