Star Wars Rebels Season 3: 20 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

Fans of The Clone Wars may notice something familiar about the route the Rebels take in Secret Cargo. That’s because the nebula that they navigate through, to avoid the Imperial fleet is in fact the same nebula that Anakin and Ahsoka use during their assault on General Grievous’ ship, the Malevolence.

Thrawn names the nebula as the Archeon pass, a favourite for Outer-rim smugglers. Anakin uses a similar description, knowing it to be an old smuggling route, but giving it its other name, the Balmorra Run.

Though there is no confirmation that there is a link between these two events, Rebels has not shied away from adding connecting between its two shows and the similarities cannot simply be coincidental.
