Star Wars: The Bad Batch - 10 Unresolved Plot Points It Must Answer

9. The Empire Abandoning Clones

We've seen that by the time the Empire is in full swing during the Original Trilogy and Rebels that there isn't a clone trooper left in sight. A couple are still around, but they're very much few and far between.

Initially, there were many troopers left from the Clone Wars that were still in active duty during the early days of the Empire. At some point, the Empire started recruiting regular troops from across the galaxy albeit only those of human descent.

Seeing this transitional period from a clone's perspective would be an interesting viewpoint given that they essentially helped build the Empire. An early retirement simply isn't in a clone's nature - look at characters like Gregor, who tried the simple life only to be repeatedly brought back into the fight.

Perhaps the Bad Batch will even explain why the Empire stopped cloning in the first place. It could have something to do with the shots in the trailer confirming a trip to Kamino.
