Stargate: 10 Reasons Why NOW Is The Perfect Time To Bring The Franchise Back

There are a lot of unresolved plot threads from the various Stargate shows left behind, most notably the cliff-hanger conclusion to Stargate: Universe. When we last saw those stranded on the Destiny, they were entering stasis to ride out the long journey (with almost no supplies) into the next galaxy, with only young Eli Wallace staying out of stasis.

What happened to him after that? Was there any way that they'd be able to come home? What was that weird smile that Eli gave after the Destiny jumped all about?

A short six-to-ten episode serialised streaming show could easily wrap up the leftover story of the Destiny's crew, while also laying the ground work for future projects in the Stargate franchise. Any cast members that didn't want to return could be written out as having perished in stasis, while the ten years since Universe's cancellation would certainly show that Eli has aged sufficiently for something truly strange to have happened to him.

Fans deserve these answers.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
